finished sets of my Houston aquarium mascot mock up for cartooning. I decided to name him Vega since everything in Houston must be space names.
The class asked me to change his tail tip. So it’s no longer scribble tail. hahaha! The professor was really excited about the idea of making his hair bigger???
first set of mascot tigers for my cartooning class. As mentioned before, I decided to do one for the Downtown Houston Aquarium. I’m deciding between Nero or Vega for his name.
Working on a mascot project for cartooning. I decided to do one for the Houston Downtown Aquarium. AND BEFORE YOU ASK, they do have a white tiger. They never shut up about it.
… I also just wanted to draw a tiger… heh.
Monster Mash is an illustration anthology that I would like to make containing humorous illustrations of classic monsters doing everyday things. Such as a Dracula Dentist or a Frankenstein cowboy. It will contain the talents of many different artists.
I thought this would be a really adorable project to put together. I was originally only going to have a certain number of artists, but quite a few are interested! I’m going to just see how many submissions I get by the deadline. If interest spikes, like it has been, I will be announcing some more info about things that I have planned in the coming weeks.
Rules:
- Must be an existing monster.
- Keep them classic. If you have questions regarding this, ask me!
- The content of your illustration should be reasonable.
Submission Guidelines:
- Create an illustration of a classic monster doing an everyday activity. Make it as silly as you like.
- Feel free to do you own take on the monster, as long as you keep it recognisable as that monster.
- Make sure the image is 300 DPI when you send it to me.
- Images should be grayscale. You can do a lot with grayscale/black & white. Ziptone it, inkwash, whatever as long as it doesn’t have color.
- FINISH your artwork that you are submitting.
- Before you get started, make sure you let me know which monster you are doing. I’m only allowing a certain number for each monster. Get creative with the one you pick!
- Email me your submission when you are done here- kiltyedlund@gmail.com
- Make sure you have your name and a link to your art blog/website in your submission email.
- Deadline is December 15, 2012

3 months left buds~
I was giving blitzbitzsome character design tips the other day on her cute alligator character, Maggie, and I jokingly said hot pink gator.
So I drew one. C:
I bet this pink gator is a pageant girl or something!
So I’m kinda burnt out on comic pages right now since I have other projects to work on.
But I figured before I went to bed I’d work on some site graphic stuff for the webcomic. /thumbs up
This is Mr. Mittens. He belongs to Luz’s Grandma. She likes to dress him up in various outfits. sundresses, sweaters, hats, whatever! He likes Luz more than Grandma. HE’S NOT REALLY IMPORTANT. I just think having animals with weird habits in comics are funny.
I don’t care about the Olympics. All I care about is adorable fat corgis.
